What is actually on it
The public list carries a trading name, an operation type, the licensed company, an address and a set of dates. Sports betting and online casino are separate entries, so a brand running both appears twice, and a brand appearing under only one of them is not necessarily doing only one thing.
Two books on our own list run a full casino while the register carries them under a sports betting entry only. That is a difference between what a register records and what a product does. It is worth knowing and it is not an allegation, which is roughly the shape of most of the useful information in this market.
What is not on it
Licence numbers. Not one. Every licence number quoted for a Ghanaian bookmaker anywhere, including on this site, is read off an operator footer, an app store listing or an affiliate page, and the register cannot be used to confirm it.
That has a consequence people rarely draw. Where two sources disagree about a number, there is no arbiter, and where a single affiliate publishes a number nobody else has, there is no way at all to check it. The correct response is to say the number is operator-stated, or to leave it out.
The numbers do carry an internal pattern that makes an obvious fake detectable: a prefix for the licence class, two digits for the year, then a letter and four digits and a letter. A number whose year digits do not match the year it is claimed for is wrong on its face. That is a consistency check rather than a verification.
Annual permits look like contradictions
Ghana issues a provisional permit for the year, so one bookmaker legitimately carries a different number in 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Search results happily present those as four competing claims about one licence.
The one that matters is whichever is currently on the operator’s own footer, and the older ones are evidence of continuity rather than evidence of confusion.
